Front porches were a way of life back when we were kids. It was like the family and neighborhood meeting place. Some porches had rocking chairs, straight back wicker bottom chairs, or gliders. Some even had swings. The Front Porch was where we spent most of our time, playing board games, sipping on lemonade, waiting on the afternoon summer shower to start so it would cool off a bit. Everyone sat on the front porch, as I can’t remember one rear deck or patio back in those days. Besides, who wanted to look into an empty back yard? Out front was where all the people were. Neighbors and friends would be out walking or taking a slow drive with all the windows down. Remember, everybody waived when they came by. The front porch was the central social spot of the township. It was a friendly place and a place where we heard many a story and news of our town and the people in it. It was a comfortable place, a place to meet and greet friends, neighbors, and family. The Front Porch was true Americana and it’s something that I think our society should return to.

 The Front Porch Grill is just like the good ole days. It’s filled with some of the best cooking in the tri-county area and it’s one of the friendliest places you’ll ever visit. Marty and Trina strive to keep things simple and easy going so you can come in and relax, just like we used to on the old front porches of our memories.
